Biography
The main and playable character didn't move super fast or jumped super high. He could hit things with a hammer, glide downwards, and occasionally if he picks up the right item he becomes invincible. The game had a story through small dialogue bits in the beginning, but it didn't grab the attention of fans. No part about this game made people want to play, and those who did say it "did too much and too little." Unlike many other mascot platformers, Acer was forgotten about entirely and only lived to see one game. His personality is centered around being Just A Little Guy™, confidence, kindness, and fighting evil for the greater good. He’s just trying to help out his hometown Mapleville which is, as you guessed, a town centered around the idea of fall and maple trees. Unlike the plumber and hedgehog, Acer worked alone in his adventures. Did he ever grow tired of this?

Specifics
His game was objectively fine, people were just focused on the big two. He was a fun loving adventurer who would do anything for his friends. If Acer could see what his image and face have now been used for, he'd wish he were dead. An innocent face is the mask of multiple missing people, eternal suffering, and death. He would be livid towards his creator. Acer deserved better, but got stuck with a power hungry amalgamation that believes he's nothing but perfect.
Trivia
Acer is a very loose combination of both Sonic and Mario.
