Hopefully you've been keeping up or at least looking into the projects, cuz I've been busy every now and then.
Here's the thing: It's 2026, the last blog was in 2024, and I have definitely changed since then. Especially with my roadmap of shit, and how long every project will actually be. Allow me to present a realistic layout for what will happen:
Omnipresence is and was always first priority. That fucking thing has been in development hell for well over six entire years. I struggled to connect plot points, get the motivation to write, etc. I'm very proud of how it turned out, and I can always go back and change things with how I did it. A full 69 (nice) page story, the longest thing I've written and it's my magnum opus.
Coded Red seems to be the next thing on my plate, since I've already started my way on the outline. However, once I started writing it, I realized I hadn't reread the braindump summary I made for it. So I went and read it, realized it was 2x better than what I was just getting busy with, and now I'm thinking I can just start writing the real doc without the prior outline since I basically already have it done. I know it'll be shorter than any of these, so getting it done next is a good idea.
The Side Characters is DEFINITELY in a worse spot than any of these other ones. I have a broad idea for what I want to do for it, but I need to finish my braindump summary first. The character designs I've made for Endi and Skelly are fucking awesome and I don't wanna waste their characters.
Collateral Damage (Formerly Versus Teams) is probably going to be last on the list of things. Not because I hate it or anything, it's just that I have more drive to write quite literally anything else but it. I'm finishing up the new renders soon, but for now I've got all the main mercs done with the secondary cast coming after. (Pic attached below)
GRAY Area is definitely next after Coded Red, and definitely not because of... recent developments lets say. It'll be decently long, maybe not as much as Omnipresence, but long enough to be satisfying. It's probably the more well developed story in terms of lore so far.
Unassociates. It's slowed down a ton due to both WarioLover and Glitch being busy with other things or just not having the drive to work on it. I've told them both that I will be more than alright with converting the entire thing into a whole story based on the scripts we already had written, and I would start and finish it in dedication like Omnipresence, but the commitment to the visual animatic is still something we wanna do. So this one isn't in a timeline when it comes to when it'll be finished in comparison to all the others.
Overall (I don't wanna jinx things, never estimate me) I think I'm in a better spot than I was 2ish years ago. I'm at an acceptance point where I know I'm gonna take my time, but I know how to get myself back into the swing of things when it comes to writing. Such as Beneath the Curtains (GO READ THAT), and probably some other things I'll write in my free time just to get my brain juices flowing.
